Semantic HTML Site Outline
July 18, 2008 @ 9:17 am
Last night I was playing with the structure of the site trying to get the semantics of the HTML better. Using the tools from the W3C’s semantic data extraction for the site it gives me a nifty outline of the site.

Using hidden Hn tags I have been able to include special information that needs not be stated for those that can see, but hopefully will be more helpful for search engines and those using screen readers and other technologies of the nature.
I’ve also always wanted to design a site that would take part in CSS Naked Day. I’ve always been too ashamed to give it a shot but with this new site I’ve had the time to focus on the HTML quality as much as the visual quality. I sent the See Me Naked footer link to a friend while he was at work and he immidietly said: “This better not be porn…” No, it’s not pornography, but I do get excited when I see well formed HTML.
If any of my readers have any suggestions on how to improve my HTML, leave me a comment.
